BEHIND THE RESULT
Hanaya Nisar was recognised in the Sports category of the 2023 Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar. A February 2023 report describes a felicitation in Anantnag and records her participation in sqay, the martial art named in the award citation. The same report looks back to an international gold medal in South Korea in October 2018, when she was reported to be 12. That earlier result is part of a childhood-achievement history. It is not a new medal won on the date of the 2023 article.
The Anantnag report also describes a gold medal at a South Asian sqay competition in Kathmandu and achievements at national events. It associates Hanaya with Kokernag and places these results within a continuing sporting record. Exact competition days and complete official result sheets are not supplied for every event in the sources reviewed here. We keep those gaps visible instead of turning a list of medals into a day-by-day journey. Her age in a historical report should also not be displayed as her age today.
Different martial arts have different rules, equipment and competition systems. A useful way to explore a sport is to begin with its correct name, then look for an authorised club or coach who can explain it. That is our reader prompt, not a description of Hanaya’s training routine. There is no need to imitate a movement from a photograph or an online clip. You could begin by listing questions about how a match is judged and how athletes prepare safely, then discuss them with an adult or qualified instructor.
